I think Im a kind and caring person. I see the funny side of things and dont take offence easily. Im very easy to live with and completely house trained. I can become very passionate and driven about certain things that take my interest; my children of course, certain work projects or hobbies. Its all within reason and not a bad trait really, as it does mean that I tend to be successful at stuff.

I have no real 'type' or age of partner in mind. Personality for me is vastly more important than looks, and that can come in any age, shape or size. Im 44 atm, so I suppose realistically I should be looking for someone anywh�re between 35 to 55.

If you are looking for seat of your pants excitement then maybe Im not your man. If you are looking for a genuine caring person, who will hold you tight at the end of a long day, care for you and love you, without reserve or judgement, then maybe I could be the one for you.

I have spent the past 20 years struggling painfully to hold together a marriage, that with hindsight was doomed from day one. My wife is profoundly deaf, and over the years the communication difficulties and cultural and social differences have slowly killed us. I have 2 children; of whom I am very proud. My daughter is 16 and has just started A levels. My son is just coming 7 and has a smile that melts your heart.

I am very much a home type. Im not keen on pubs and clubs, although do enjoy eating out occasionally. I suppose I would consider myself to have good social skills, although up until now have chosen not to use them much. Im rather a loner, out of choice, rather than inability to mix.

Now I find myself in the position of having no real social contacts; no long term friends and to be honest im lonely. I am not looking for short term or superficial relationships. I am looking for someone to fill the space in my heart that I have had for many years now. Its odd how one can be very lonely even when married.

At the moment I am still with my wife. It is best for my son that I stay for as long as I can; but I have decided that I need to move on for my own sanity. If I meet someone whom I could care for and who felt the same way, then the situation would change of course.
