Now for the hard part. How can I define myself in a way that says 'Yo Ladies' and yet at the same time doesn't make me come across as an arrogant fop?!

I think most people that know me would say that I am interesting, loyal, witty and intelligent company. I enjoy the company of others, but I am also quite self-contained too. I think that I am fairly low maintenance, but I am sure that any former loves would probably beg to differ!

I am pretty irreverent and don't take myself too seriously. I enjoy conversation and spending time with the people I care about. There is a huge amount in life that I still want to do - most of which I am not even sure I know about yet. Most of all, I just want to be happy and to grow old with the right person.

In terms of likes and dislikes I don�t know whëre to start really. Not that that usually stops me. Music wise from the past I�m quite into The Who, Bowie, early Rod, Smiths and the Beatles. Present day tastes include Bon Iver, CSS, Fleet Foxes and Kings of Leon. Hopefully, I wont have to use this website so long as to make my contemporary choices out of date! Film wise, I love independent cinema and have recently enjoyed �The Dark Knight�, �Juno� and �The Diving Bell and the Butterfly�. Favourite films of all time are probably the �Godfather� and �This is Spinal Tap�, but that�s hardly a revelation. It�s a bit like saying you like nice holidays or free stuff!

I have no idea what my perfect match would be, but I would be interested in meeting someone who is happy and secure in themselves, who takes a positive approach for life, and who given the choice between a weekend in front of the TV and doing something new will go for the latter at least nine times out of ten. Someone who can hold a decent conversation but who is also happy to digress into irreverence at the dr0p of a hat. Someone who would prefer to hit the Downs or the seafront as opposed to a day�s retail therapy at Churchill Square. Someone who likes to keep learning new things and going to new places but who is happy with the contradiction of returning to their favourite pubs and restaurants.

Most importantly, someone who is happy in themselves, but deep down knows that they could be happier complimenting the right person. And hopefully that right person is me.
