How to have the perfect holiday romance
Summer loving, had you a blast…
OK I’m sorry, there was no way I could talk about holiday romance without making reference to the greatest musical of all time. But seriously, if you’re heading out on your travels and hoping to find a bit of a love then we’ve some top tips on helping you have the greatest holiday romance of them all…
1. Try not to get too drunk.
We know that you’re out for a good time and we don’t want to sound too much like your mother but just remember your limits and ask yourself if he’ll look THAT good when the wine goggles are removed.
2. Pre-plan
You’re likely to have already embarked on a bikini diet before you jet off so think about other ways that make you feel good – treat yourself to a nice mani and pedicure and ensure that you’re hot to trot from the moment the plane takes off.
3. Stay away from waiters!
YES he maybe hot and YES he’s probably told you that you’re the most beautiful girl in the world but just remember that (let’s call him Carlos for old times sake) Carlos’ life is an endless whirlwind of tourists and he know’s every trick in the book! So steer clear of this particular cliche for your own sake!
4. Remember your sunscreen at all times!
You may think that you’re just hurrying along that golden tan but you’re not! You don’t want potential suitors to remember you for being the same shade a lobster now do you?
5. Don’t let it be the focus of your whole holiday!
You may be out to find love but don’t let it take over your whole trip. Enjoy your holiday and if romance comes along then it’s an added bonus!
6. Don’t get too attached.
It can be easy to fall in love when you’re under the haze of cheap wine and sunshine but remember that you’re only there for a short period of time. We are not saying that it won’t be a special case of ever lasting love but the chances are your tan will last longer than the holiday romance. If you’re emotionally prepared not to hear from them again the you’ve nothing to lose.
7. BE SAFE.
Again, we don’t want to sound like your mother but don’t take any risks. Remember the person you’re with is a stranger so keep your friends updated on where you are at all times and if it any point you feel threatened then don’t ignore that feeling!
