Bethenny Frankel’s Do’s & Don’t’s for dating
We love a bit of a celebrity advice, and if you’re like me and a huge fan of the Real Housewives of New York, then you’ll know that there’s no one quite as straight talking as Bethenny.
Whilst she may have had some heartache in the past, she does know her stuff and here are her do’s and don’t’s for dating and relationships…
DO remember the most important thing a man can give you is emotional support. “I know it sounds cliché, but [my ex husband] Jason once said, ‘Let me love you.’ Once I let him and trusted him, it changed my life.”
DO know that “a true friend is someone you can tell anything to—like if you murdered someone, you could tell her. It’s a person to whom you don’t have to say, ‘Don’t tell anyone’—she just knows.”
DON’T be afraid to lean on her. “It felt like I was getting the crap beaten out of me last season [on Real Housewives]. Ramona and Alex really helped me through that time, which was very emotional.”
DO forgive people. “Do it for yourself, so you’re not some angry person. It’s easier to live that way.”
DO pass on those shoes that are “eight inches high with platforms and ties. I think they are a total trend. I am a tiny girl, and I would look like Frankenstein in them.”
DON’T be afraid of postbaby sex. Says the never-shy Frankel: “My husband and I were dying to get laid. On the way back from the beach, we all went to the doctor to finally get the green light: me, my dog, my husband, my baby nurse and my baby. We pulled up and stopped the car, and I ran in for an unannounced visit.”
What do you think? Is Bethenny right?
