Dating can wreak havoc with your diet. After all, drinks, meals out, cinema trips with popcorn. Not to mention the chocolate, ice-cream and more wine when your date doesn’t call you back!
But if you’re determined not to be pushed off your New Years health kick then we have some great tips for you to be able to date whilst you’re dieting…
Drink smarter…
Meeting up for a couple of drinks after work? Well, a two glasses of wine or a cocktail or two will use your calorie allowance in no time at all – not to mention bringing on that post drinks hunger. Think about sticking to clear spirits or even arranging to meet at a tea or coffee shop instead.
Eat Out…
When you’re dating, eating out is all part of the fun. If you know that you’re going to be eating out in the evening then make sure you chose lighter, lower calorie meals throughout the day. If you know where you’re going you could always browse the menu ahead of time and pre-pick a sensible option. Just make sure that you aren’t too neurotic about what you eat when you’re with your date, you don’t want to put him off by being a picky eater.
Eat In…
If you man likes to EAT then why not play hostess and invite him around for a home cooked meal. You can control the menu and show that you’re pretty good around the kitchen. Make sure that you feel comfortable and you’ve got to know your date before inviting him in to your home though. Remember – safety first.
Get outside…
You don’t just have to eat and drink. A romantic walk around the park or playing tourist in your nearest city will burn those calories and help you get to know your date better.
