3 Reasons why you may not get a second date
So you’ve just got back from a wonderful first date and you’re sat waiting eagerly for that invite for the second date to ping through.
But it doesn’t come.
Even if you’ve had a great first date there are plenty of reasons why you may not be asked for a second date. We’ve compiled the top three reasons to help you avoid them in future.
Over-sharing.
Your first date, whilst is an exercise to get to know each other better, should be light and easy going. The last thing that your date wants to know is all the nitty gritty details of your life. Steer clear of sharing too much information about your home life, family, friends, health and work.
Don’t talk about your ex!
Remember that you’re on a date with the view to start a new relationship. He doesn’t need to know about your ex and what your relationship was like. He especially doesn’t want to know why you broke up. The moment you start talking about your ex is the moment that you actually highlight that you’re not ready for a new relationship.
Don’t be negative.
A first date isn’t the time to discuss problems or hang-ups. Dating should be fun, exciting and adventurous. Why would someone want to call you and spend another evening with you if the first date you spend being negative about things.
First dates are really important, every relationship needs a starting point and you never know what the future holds once you’ve got passed those first few hours so just remember to be yourself and have fun!
