5 relationship faux pas

You know how it is, you’re dating someone really cool and you don’t want anything to mess it up but inevitably you’re going to make a faux pas at some point. Well don’t worry, we are on hand to share 5 relationship faux pas so that you can avoid them!!

Don’t be in a rush to put a label on things…

If you’re in a relationship which is simmering along nicely then pressing to have a label put on it is a big mistake. No one wants to be harassed in to committing to go steady after just a few dates so have the “us” conversation later rather than earlier.

Don’t put your life on hold for someone else…

You are at NO ONES beck and call, you maybe head over heels but you don’t want to have your whole life based around another person. Having your own life and your own interests is what makes you attractive so make sure that you keep doing what you’re doing.

Don’t be too eager to send the first text…

Someone has to make the first move but that doesn’t mean it should be you all of the time. If you feel as though you’re constantly chasing your bloke then perhaps he isn’t the one for you after all. Also, don’t waste your life living by the phone waiting for calls and messages, live your life and if he calls then bonus!

Stop with the mind games…

You’re not in high school anymore so leave the mind games at the door. Communicate what you want and don’t want clearly and always be straight and upfront. Once you enter that cycle of mind games then you’ll never escape it.

Don’t be a nag!

You don’t want to start off your relationship having to nag someone in to doing something or going somewhere so instead if you feel as though you’re starting to become a nag, step away and realise that no party wants to feel harassed.

Keeping your expectations low and your standards high when you first start dating is a great way of gaining dating success.
