5 Rules That Daters NEED To Live By
Dating is pressured enough without having to add rules in to the mix. But if you’re planning on dating success there are some rules that daters need to live by – especially when you’re in the early stages of getting to know someone.
Don’t be needy! Unless there’s something wrong with the guy you’re dating then no one likes needy. There’s nothing wrong with being an independent woman so suppress any feelings of neediness and woman up. Of course we’re not saying that you can’t show you vulnerable side once you’re fully in to your relationship but whilst you’re dating this is something that doesn’t need to be on display.
Quit the negativity. Unless you want to attract a negative person then we suggest that you quit being negative yourself asap! Complaining and being negative is toxic and you don’t want that when you’re trying to spark off love so realise that your man friend isn’t like your best mate where you can sit in joggers, shoving ice cream in to your mouth being bitchy about almost everything, you need to keep a positive mind and bring sunshine with you when you’re on dates.
Let yourself be chased. We don’t mean this in the Benny Hill sense more than blokes like to pursue. Now we’re all for independent women (cough see above) but even if you’ve initiated the date let him do some of the work. Be careful not to come across as aloof or offish if you try this tactic mind, he has to know that you like him but just keep how much from him until you’re sure he really is that in to you.
Have fun. Let’s be honest, as much as people say that dating is hard or scary it is actually quite awesome. You’re experiencing a time in your life where you can experience new things, meeting new people and just get yourself out there with no ties or commitment. So make sure that you have fun! Laugh, joke and goof around – by not taking dating seriously you’re going to enjoy yourself a lot more.
Remember: You’re not trying to get him to LIKE you, you’re seeing whether YOU LIKE HIM. Seriously, don’t bend over backwards to get someone to like you, you’re looking for someone who suits you and if you’re having to try too hard to impress then listen up, it ain’t gonna work! If he makes you feel good and treats you well then he’s a keeper, if he doesn’t then show him the door – even if it’s a virtual one.
