First date: Lunch, Drinks or Dinner?
We talk a lot about first dates on this blog. After all, first dates are something we all have in common when we start to find new love. They’re a constant source of decisions and worry. From deciding what to wear to where to go, there are plenty of choices.
But the big one. Dinner, drinks or lunch? Where should the first date take place?
Let’s run through the options?
Drinks: Going for drinks allows flexibility. You’re not tied in to a long dinner date and you can decide whether you want to carry on with the date and go for dinner or elsewhere or leave with ease. After all, it’s not unreasonable to say that that you need to go after a wine or two.
Lunch: Lunch is a great inbetweener. It’s good if you want to test the waters as going for lunch indicates you may have other plans for the rest of the day but if things go well then it’s perfect for moving on and turning the day in to the night.
Dinner: This is probably the most traditional of dates, but before you commit to a dinner date, think about the fact you’re going to have to fill an entire evening with conversation. So unless you think that you’ve truly made a connection then you may find that going for drinks or lunch is a better option.
