Essential “checkpoints” before you meet someone in person

Dating online gives you plenty of chance to get to know someone in the comfort of your own space. However, at some point, if you’re serious about moving forward with the relationship then you’re going to have to meet face to face.

So here are some essential checkpoints to cross off your list before you meet someone in person.

Know where he lives. Sometimes people leave out key information ion the profile when it comes to their location. Saying you live in Central London sounds a whole lot sexier than saying you live in Croydon (sorry Croydon) so just make sure you get where he lives. If it’s going to take him a while to get to your dates then it’s worth knowing straight up so you know to expect some delays and you can decide if you can really be bothered schlepping it over to his place if you hit it off.

Remember his name. OK this may sound a little mental, but especially if he’s using a screen name that isn’t his own, it’s important to know his actual name. You don’t want to sit down for dinner and have to refer to him as SexyMan123 all evening.

Know what he wants. If he’s just looking for an occasional booty call and not a serious relationship, he may not always tell you straight off the bat. SO make sure that you do your detective work and look for the signs that actually, he’s just a player.

Does he have time for a relationship? You may want to suss out whether eh actually has time for a serious relationship. If he’s away a lot for work or perhaps he goes to see family, is this going to interrupt the time that you may want to spend with him? It’s always a good idea to find out his schedule to make sure it matches with your own needs.

Know what he looks like. So someones physical appearance isn’t the be all and end all of a relationship but if you’re going to progress with things, you have to be attracted to your date. It’s just the way it works. So make sure that your date is sending you up to date pictures that are a true representation of what they look like. They say that the camera never lies but it’s certainly easy to be able to look better than you do normally in them.
