We’re all a bunch of snugglepuffs and love muffins
Cadbury Dairy Milk Joy Maker reveals that nearly half (46%) of the UK population have pet names for their partner and it’s not just Valentine’s Day that makes us go romantically gaga, we do it all the time. Research showed that whether you’re a Snugglepuff or a Honey bunch, one things for sure, we Brits don’t mind saying it in public -with 80% of us getting caught saying our pet name out loud at least once month!
And Darling! -it’s ok to be gushy over our partners, after all, research showed that 20% of us get caught using a pet name daily with honey, babe and darling, remaining the firm ‘go to’ favourites.
Cadbury Dairy Milk Joy Maker also found a few surprises with 10% of Brits comparing their partner to an animal including a Froggie, Bear or even a Hornet! And if you think your partner is simply delicious, well so do 11% of Brits who combine their love of food with their love for their partner comparing them to their favourite snacks such as pudding or pumpkin.
With over half of us (54%) confessing they actually prefer it when their partner uses their pet name over their real name.
